Homeworld: The Lielum hail from Terra, the third planet from the system's star, Sol.

Physical Statistics

Number of sexes and sexual multimorphism notes: Two genders, dimorphism includes greater strength in males and greater endurance in females. Secondary sexual characteristic are evident.

Basic shape: Tetrapodal, bipedal plantigrade gait, atrophied tail. Adult height ranges between 1.5 and 2 meters, with outliers. Minor adaptations for living near the water.

Etology of closest non-sentient cousins: Earth's great apes are omnivorous, high but not top of the food chain, and live in clan structures, some patriarchal, other matriarchal.

Favorite method of unarmed fighting (includes using rocks, sticks, vines, stuff that a prehistoric person would find around quickly): Wrestling. Lack of natural weapons combined with great endurance allow for running prey or enemies down.

Diet

Lielum require 1500 to 2500 kCal worth of food each day, and are omnivorous with a strong leaning toward plant matter, though some animal protein is generally recommended in the diet.

Lifespan (medieval - modern - extended): 40-75-120.

Size range for adults and children: Adult height ranges between 1.5 and 2 meters, with outliers. Childhood lasts roughly 15 years.

Both corpuses are estimated to be composite but attributed to one author, both are works of poetry, and both deal with the affairs of royalty, especially the bloody sort.

Lielum actually have a higher incidence of psionic ability than most races, excluding those that are naturally psionic. It is thought this predilection towards psionics is responsible for Lielum being readily capable of learning magic, as well as helping to explain why the study of magic was almost impossible without outside aid.
